About OM: According to the teachings of Nada.yoga the universe arose from the  vibration of AUM, and in the end it will dissolve in it. It is characterized by the unity of sat (the permanence of being), cit (consciousness) and ananda (self-absorbed joy and freedom). The sound of OM is also pranava, which means that OM/AUM pervades our being through the vehicle of prana or breath.

OM is bija or seed mantra , and in vedic traditions it encompasses the Gayatri-mantra and Vedas as a seed.

The yogis have imparted it the following way: From OM emanates the Gayatri-mantra and the Gayatri includes the essence of the Vedas.

The whole of the manifested world is the emanation of OM, which is called nada or sabda.

"The entire, indistructible (Akshara) and eternal universe is Om. All there was, is and will be, is the Omkara. It is absolute and indistructablem this all that is knowable or deduciable, and all that is beyond the threefold time (Trikala), is th eOmkara itself." Mándukja-upanisad 1.
