Livius Varga

Frontman, percussionist of Quimby, A Kutya Vacsorája, the Braindogs and numerous solo projects.

His musical path started with the Kodály method in the Musical Primary School of Dunaújváros, and the local conservatory.

Folk, classical and percussion chamber music was part of his everyday life.

At home his family surrounded him with music and singing. He studied and lived the Hungarian and the world music heritages.

In high school he and his friend formed their first rock and roll band, which later on transformed into the band Quimby, Hungary's most famous all-generational cult band.

As a child he first heard and studied yoga from his father, later on as an adult under the influence of Attila Bakos’s lectures he felt a calling to follow the path of yoga. At a yoga retreat in 2021 he was invited to join the MantraSOUND formation by Eszter Judit Bakos / Virinchi Shakti.
